Arab Cargo is a Known Cargo Agent which means we have been given special security status by the Civil Aviation Authority / Department of Transport to security screen cargo. The regulations have extremely strict compliance rules especially regarding who we employ. As per the CAA regulations ALL our staff undergo thorough and stringent reference checks which include a 5 year Government background check as well as a Criminal Records Check (CRB). And all our staff wear their Identity Cards at all times.

We have a state of the art airport-style security screening methods to identify any prohibited or dangerous items.

16 CCTV Cameras track the movement of everything coming into and leaving our Warehouse and we can provide a complete audit trail from pick-up to delivery at airport.

Once the cargo has been security screened it is loaded straight onto the lorry and the shutters are secured with special serial-numbered seals. All transport vehicles are fitted with CCTV cameras and GPS tracking.

Regular unannounced inspections from the Department of Transport take place to ensure these security protocols are strictly adhered to.

Out of 10,000 Freight-forwarders in the UK – only 600 have this special license.

What happens when we collect your personal effects.

When you make a booking to ship your items – you will receive a text message confirming the appointment. You can start tracking the driver up to one hour before the appointment slot using the Arab Cargo App.

After the driver and helper have weighed the goods and given you a price, the items are then transported in vans equipped with CCTV cameras and GPS tracking and taken to the warehouse for security screening and packing.

After the luggage is security screened it is placed immediately on the bag wrapping machine which wraps the bags numerous times in an industrial strength waterproof plastic wrap – which can only be opened using a knife or scissors. This ensures that your bags have not been tampered with by anyone in anyway.

IATA 

IATA is the organisation which regulates the Aviation Industry. Only companies with a high degree of financial standing, infrastructure, equipment and qualifications can be an IATA Accredited Cargo Agent. The importance of having secure warehouses with forklifts, dangerous goods qualifications and IATA best practice training distinguishes Accredited Cargo Agents from the rest.
